In 2024, disco-punks Getdown Services gave Harry Styles a shoutout in the song ‘Caesar’: “Harry Styles called, he’s asking for a merger/Dream on buddy!” Turns out dreams do come true, as the Bristol duo have accepted harrystyles’ offer to open for him on the ‘Together, Together’ tour in Berlin next year.
getdown_services appeared on #NMETheCover earlier this year, before they played Meltdown Festival in London, which Styles curated. Hit the link in bio for the Cover story, where they talk about their unlikely come-up, satirising British life in their songs, and their on-stage antics, which are “not a bit”: “We’re just trying to jack the crowd up and entertain them, make them feel like they got their money’s worth,” says Josh Law. “I might not be what I’d be looking for if I went to see Mazzy Star, obviously. But it works for us.”
