No prophetic dreams needed: Walker Scobell knew Levi Chrisopulos was meant to play Nico di Angelo from their very first camera read together for 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' season 3. ⚡
“I definitely felt an instant connection with Levi, and that was it,” walker.scobell tells EW of levi.chrisopulos. “I just knew it was going to be him.”
And, just like Scobell and Chrisopulos, their characters will similarly hit it off onscreen, too.
“They’re a little bit closer than they are in the books,” Scobell says. “Nico reminds Percy a lot more of himself and how happy you could be in this [magical world]. I think it’s really easy to start to lose your optimism [when] you start to feel really negative feelings, and I feel like Nico is so positive, and he’s so happy, and everything is so interesting and cool to him, and I feel Percy likes seeing that a lot.”
