“This is what women in sport look like.” We stand with all the women competing, working behind the scenes, and fighting for a better future. The women who put their blood, sweat and tears into building a career in a male-dominated industry. Women do not train, study, and give their everything just to be objectified and reduced to something to look at. Maybe it was calculated. Maybe it was a mistake that made it off the drawing board. One things for sure: Novig’s ad does not reflect the reality of women in sport - or anywhere - and we are horrified by the wider implications. To all the women in sport speaking up: we see you, we hear you, and we are with you. To all the people just as outraged as we are: don’t stop encouraging the incredible women around you.
