#Statement: If you remember, a little over a year ago, Zohran Kwame Mamdani won the Democratic primary to become the nominee for New York City mayor, setting off a chain of events that have shaped — and continue to shape — the landscape of the Democratic Party. Mamdani is, of course, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America. His win and subsequent influence across America have helped numerous DSA members nearly reach the House of Representatives. Yet, these farther-left wins have been traditionally restricted to farther-left districts. However, the far-left fever has finally come home.
