Most folks have been to a parade. But have you ever been to a puppet parade? How about a GIANT puppet parade? If you haven’t marked that off of your bucket list, this weekend’s your chance. That’s why we’ve decided to highlight this event in its own special #ThisIsVirginia shoutout. At 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, the “The Procession of Appalachian Species” will kick off a fun event at Lineberry Park in Floyd. The parade starts at 11, and festive activities will continue until 2 p.m. Primarily organized by Springhouse, and in partnership with the community, the festivities will include the procession, food, music, dancing, and more.
