I was 25 in the current clips, the decade title just sound better.
Anyways here the message I want to share today:
If my receiving didn’t look better after a DECADE, then I probably shouldn’t be catching anymore
But the biggest difference isn’t the amount of time that has passed (or the completely different receiving style lol)… It’s what I know now that I didn’t know then
At 16, I was working hard, catching all the time, but I never had someone breaking down exactly what I needed to change or a clear progression for how to actually improve. I was copying catchers I saw online who had access to training.
It took me YEARS of playing, training, researching, experimenting, and eventually coaching to understand this position at the level I do now… and I’m still learning!
And my favorite part about all of this, is that I can take things that took me years to figure out and simplify them for my catchers so they can make those changes in wee...
