Making this literally made me cry🥹⬇️ Going through my camera roll made me realize how much this game and this position have given me. There were so many points throughout my career where I felt behind, felt like I failed, wanted to prove people wrong, had really high highs and extremely low lows, almost quit, thought I was done, then somehow another door opened. My path was definitely not a straight line and I am so grateful that it wasn’t. Every team, coach, teammate, failure, transfer, country and experience taught me something that I now get to pass on to the next generation of catchers. I spent a lot of years trying to figure out this position on my own…. and with my dad. And now I get to be the catching coach and mentor. I wish I had when I was eight years old all the way through college.
