See Willem de Kooning at the height of his career. This is his stunning ‘Untitled’ from 1977, now at #SothebysNewYork before it travels to New Bond Street as a star of The London Sales in October.  The work comes from the limited group of paintings de Kooning made between 1975-1977, regarded as a pinnacle of the artist’s career. These years represent a period of explosive creativity, during which de Kooning produced an illustrious body of highly gestural, color-drenched canvases. ‘Untitled’ stands out with its vibrant colors and expressive drips and brushwork, creating a surface which looks freshly painted.  ‘Untitled’ will be on view at the Breuer through 18 September.
