A summer of individual preparation and growth has culminated in an up-and-down start to the fall season for Cal men’s golf. Following a 12th-place finish at the Bombs Darts Birds Collegiate to tee off the season, the Bears traveled to Sammamish, Washington, for the Sahalee Players Collegiate hosted by the University of Washington. Cal had a similarly disappointing performance as a team, but showed sparks on individual scorecards. “(There’s a) learning curve of college golf, but I think this group is a special one, and I think they can be great,” said Cal head coach Michael Wilson. “We got off to another tough start (Saturday), but it was neat to see the team battle back (Sunday) … (It was) a good opportunity for us to see where we are and get some valuable feedback to work for the future.” Read more through the link in bio. ✍️: Ethan Teeguarden 📸: Courtesy of Catherine Hayne . . . #ucberkeley #dailycal #berkeley #golf #sports
