Divine protection is not a tool for your ego. If you think God favors you so much that you can call on a miracle just to show off, gratify your ego, or put yourself in unnecessary danger, you may be very surprised when you discover it doesn't work that way. Divine intervention isn't something you get to demand on your terms. If you believe in God, a higher power, or something beyond human understanding, then understand this: faith isn't a license to act recklessly and expect supernatural protection whenever you need it. There is a difference between being protected while pursuing something meaningful and deliberately putting yourself in harm's way just to prove that you're protected. Don't confuse divine purpose with divine permission. And when you deliberately test that boundary and things don't work out, don't be surprised. Maybe the lesson wasn't that God abandoned you.
