Dian Hanson has spent much of her career looking at naked bodies. Even by her standards, #ArnoldSchwarzenegger was a big job. The longtime taschen editor and former adult media editor spent 11 years assembling 'Arnold,' an obsessively complete photographic account of the bodybuilder, movie star, California governor, animal keeper and enthusiastic owner of cowboy boots. Originally released as a $2,500 signed collector’s edition, the book is now available in a relatively populist $150 version that weighs 9.5 pounds and runs 528 pages. It includes photographs by master photographers like Richard Avedon, Annie Leibovitz, Robert Mapplethorpe, Herb Ritts, Francesco Scavullo and Andy Warhol, as well as bodybuilding shots, movie stills and images excavated from Schwarzenegger’s private archive. Read more about the project and see more photos at the link in bio.
