And the list has never been more diverse, celebrating cuisines as far flung as Peruvian, Egyptian and Korean alongside our considered — and much-debated — picks for best Italian, Chinese, steakhouses and other competitive categories. Geographically, the restaurants extend from Great Neck to East Hampton — with stops in towns not generally regarded as hotbeds of culinary excellence.
