Every September, the Buffalo Roundup takes over @custerstateparksd as cowboys and cowgirls bring the park's herd across the prairie and into the corrals. 🦬 It's become one of South Dakota's biggest annual traditions, but as you'll see in the video, there's an important reason behind it too. The roundup helps park staff care for the herd, carry out health checks and manage bison numbers to protect the grasslands they depend on.
