Following the Carolina Herrera Spring 27 Runway Show at the David H. Koch Theater, guests gathered at Herrera’s, a one-night-only homage to Mortimer’s. Held at the legendary restaurant’s former Lexington Avenue address, Herrera’s brought back the spirit of a beloved New York institution and favorite gathering place of Carolina and Reinaldo Herrera, where artists, designers and society came together. Artist Tim Snell, whose murals many times adorned the walls of Mortimer’s, created three new works for the occasion, while illustrators from The New Yorker painted portraits of guests throughout the evening. For one night only, the name on the door was Herrera’s. Photographic reproduction from Andy Warhol’s 35mm negative.
