Nike and the Hong Kong Football Association have created a new jersey for the side. The number typeface was designed by Lampson — the HKFA official photographer who has long documented Hong Kong football, and the team’s “12th man.” The inspiration is the local bamboo steamer: interwoven bamboo strips locking together, layer by layer — a nod to how the team, the fans, and the city hold each other up.
