Elizabeth Campbell (1869–1961) attended the university of Colorado where she was enrolled in the class of her future husband and astronomer. She taught at Rockford College. After marriage, she travelled the world with her husband to view solar eclipses, and became proficient in not only operating equipment, but coordinating such trips as well as soothing her husband’s ‘emotional’ states. Here she is riding a turtle on Flint Island, in 1908 #womeninastronomy #womeninSTEM #STEMhistory #feministsciencestudies
