A truly special and humbling evening ❤️ the_bhf Last week, I had the privilege of attending the British Heart Foundation Dinner Awards where alongside Scott Allan we had the honour of presenting awards to some truly remarkable children for the Young Heart Hero award. To stand alongside these young people and hear about the resilience, strength and courage they have shown while facing heart conditions, surgery and challenges no child should ever have to experience was incredibly moving. The smiles, the bravery and the spirit in that room are something I’ll remember for a very long time. The awards may have been about recognising their and others courage and dedication to research, live saving actions and outstanding contributions but I think everyone there left feeling inspired by the many winners acknowledged that night.
