This National Grandparents’ Day is a reminder that we need more grandmas as action heroes, leading ladies and everything in between. ❤️🎬 Inspired by stories like ‘Thelma’, starring #SpiritAwards Nominee June Squibb, we’re producing five short films with generous support from the Humana Foundation. With five teams of two filmmakers, these films will celebrate the vital roles and contributions of seniors to society. Applications open soon. 📸: The 2025 Film Independent Spirit Awards by Kevin Mazur/Getty Images
