At 10 years old, Elizabeth Fluck’s active life came to a halt. A passionate dancer and track runner, Elizabeth was diagnosed with leukemia after nearly fainting on the stairs. Suddenly, she went from dancing seven days a week to struggling to get off the floor because of the side effects of treatment. Recovery meant rebuilding her strength and finding herself again. Today, Elizabeth is cured of cancer and back to doing what she loves: ballet, 5–6 days a week. 💛 “I wouldn’t be here today without Alex’s Lemonade Stand. They gave me a new chance at life,” Elizabeth said. Elizabeth’s story is a powerful reminder of why we keep moving forward for kids with cancer. Go the distance for kids like Elizabeth this month by helping us move a million miles while raising millions of dollars to fund critical childhood cancer research and give more kids the chance to grow up, chase their dreams, and do what they love.
