Why did I commit to training as a meditation teacher? It wasn’t sudden enlightenment. It was total exhaustion. I grew up in a Galician culture where your value = hard work: push, resist, never stop. Then I built a life in the North, among subtle codes, silences, and conflict-avoidance that, over time, make you doubt your own ground. My defense: work harder. In demanding product roles, that’s celebrated. In personal life, it looked like resilience… until burnout hit. Your body chooses to stop when you won’t. I didn’t choose meditation to escape. I chose it to survive the discomfort of truly meeting myself. Stillness strips away the armor of constant doing. It forces you to face grief, self-doubt, and the friction of living between two worlds without running to fix or numb it. Training to teach was how I reclaimed my nervous system… not to be perfect, but to learn to stand firmly in my own reality. Now, I’m stepping away from the corporate rush to share these tools from late Octobe...
