Ausar Thompson is really becoming one of the BEST defenders in the league 😭🔒 At 6’7” with elite athleticism, length, quickness and instincts, Ausar can legitimately make life difficult for almost anybody. Guards, wings, bigger forwards — Detroit can throw him on some of the toughest assignments every night and he embraces it. This past season, Ausar averaged **2.0 steals per game to lead the NBA**, added nearly **1 block per game**, and earned **All-Defensive First Team honors** while finishing as a finalist for Defensive Player of the Year. 🔥 The craziest part is he’s still only getting better. His ability to blow up passing lanes, recover for blocks, stay in front of quicker guards and create chaos defensively is SPECIAL. Detroit didn’t just pay Ausar because of potential… they paid him because he’s already proving he can be one of the league’s premier defensive players for years to come. 💰🔒 #AusarThompson #basketball #Pistons #NBA #hoops
