Isaiah Thomas on the Celtics was DIFFERENT 🥶☘️
At 5’9”, IT was out there cooking defenders like size didn’t matter at all. His scoring ability was elite — he could get downhill, finish through contact, pull up from deep, create separation off the dribble, and absolutely take over games when Boston needed a bucket.
That 2016-17 season was special. IT averaged nearly 29 points a game and became one of the most dangerous fourth-quarter scorers in the league. Everybody knew the ball was going to him late, and defenses still couldn’t stop it. That’s how cold he was.
The confidence, the toughness, the footwork, the speed, the shot-making… IT had Boston rocking every night. “King in the Fourth” wasn’t just a nickname — he really turned into a different player when the game got tight.
People can talk about how short his Celtics run was, but at his peak in Boston, Isaiah Thomas was one of the most electrifying scorers in basketball. He made being 5’9” look like an advantage. 🥶🔥☘️
