There was a point in 2018 when the Pelicans looked like they were building something special. AD and Boogie together felt unfair. Two superstar big men who could score, rebound, pass, and completely take over games in different ways. Then Cousins went down with the Achilles injury right when everything seemed to be coming together. New Orleans eventually swept the Trail Blazers and showed everyone how dangerous that roster really was. Now imagine that same playoff team with a healthy Boogie. We’ll never know how far they could’ve gone or how long that core could’ve stayed together. Sometimes the biggest NBA “what ifs” aren’t trades or missed shots. Sometimes it’s just one injury. 💔 #Pelicans #nba #AD #basketball #demarcuscousins
