You never really know what someone is carrying behind a smile. I’ve worked with people who seem positive, successful, and completely put together on the outside, while privately dealing with intense anxiety, emotional pain, and even thoughts of not wanting to wake up. One of the reasons I believe so deeply in healing communities is because we need spaces where we can stop pretending we’re okay and actually feel safe enough to be seen, supported, and do the deeper work.
