A registered sex offender in Buckeye is facing six new felony counts, and he was already on probation for a prior case involving a minor when it happened.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jaiden Orion Segundo, 26, on September 16.
He is charged with six felony counts of sexual conduct with a minor. Court records say he is a registered sex offender and was on probation for a previous conviction in a case involving a minor at the time.
According to court documents, Segundo admitted the encounter to detectives and told them he has recurring urges to approach vulnerable women on the street.
Investigators say he picked the victim up in Phoenix and took her to his place in Buckeye. He is not charged with kidnapping or unlawful imprisonment, though court documents allege he kept her there.
He was ordered held in Maricopa County jail on a $500,000 bond at his initial court appearance Thursday.
