What can your emotions teach you about yourself—and how you relate to others? On Saturday, September 19, join the Rubin at the New York Botanical Garden (nybg) for "The Mandala Lab: A Workshop on Emotions," presented as part of the Flower Power exhibition. 🪷 The lotus, which blooms in NYBG’s Conservatory Pools, is a powerful symbol in Himalayan art, where it can represent purity, awakening, and compassion in Buddhist and Hindu traditions. Led by the Rubin's Mandala Lab Curator Tim McHenry, the workshop explores pride, attachment, envy, anger, and ignorance through thought-provoking, playful activities inspired by Tibetan Buddhist art and teachings. Smell memories, bang gongs and dip them into water, and synchronize your breathing as you move through the experience. Choose from two 90-minute sessions: 🕚 11:00 AM or 1:30 PM 📍 New York Botanical Garden, Conservatory Courtyards Preregistration is requested, and each session is limited to 25 participants.
