Kids will be kids on a horse, in a kayak and while eating MICHELIN-star barbecue. So you might as well let them do it somewhere as fun as Austin. #ad Despite the highly dramatic feedback from our 5- and 7-year-old travel critics, their favorite activities in Austin were the trail ride at lonestarranchtexas, kayaking on Lady Bird Lake with rowingdock , swimming at Barton Springs, exploring the lbjlibrary, eating their way through la_barbecue and watching the bats emerge at sunset. Austin had the rare mix of activities that were genuinely fun for the kids and still felt like a trip the adults actually wanted to take.
