Makilina is 41 and lives in the community of Chawa, Malawi, which received a new Sonder Project deep-water well in 2021. Makilina highlights the transformation experienced as a result of the new Sonder well. Now she can collect clean water anytime of the day, instead of the oppressive water collection schedule that dominated her life before the well. Even more importantly, the health of the community has improved! With much less water-borne illness, residents are more productive, and children do not suffer from water issues that impact their education.
