A fun experiment in combining handmade objects, mocap, and 3D into one piece thanks to the power of autodesk tools.

I, along with other creatives, got the chance to reimagine the Autodesk “A” through my own artistic vision! I wanted to combine a physical sculpting process with motion capture and 3D. I sculpted the figures in polymer clay, baked and photographed them, then used those images as references to create fully rigged 3D models in Flow Studio autodeskflowstudio
From there, I filmed myself performing a series of poses, extracted the motion data, and transferred those animations onto each clay figure. I then blocked the composition in 3D and built a rocky backdrop from leftover clay to help define the final shape.
Turns out the world really is yours for the making when clay, motion, and autodesk are combined. Full process video coming soon, stay tuned.
