It’s modern-day slavery. A GOP Super PAC paid Oklahoma $10/hour for incarcerated people to make political phone calls. The prisoners were paid just $2/hour. The 13th Amendment abolished slavery, except as punishment for a crime. That exception makes this “legal.” It shouldn’t be.
