Walmart is popping off right now,” a 27-year-old nurse from Indiana told her followers in June. “I got all of this for $100. I feel like you cannot do this these days.” The discount store now sells the kind of $45 cashmere sweaters, $15 cotton sundresses, and $25 beaded bags that light up Facebook shopping-recommendation groups and launch dozens of TikTok videos with and without a #WalmartPartner tag.
