As a nutritionist who lost 40 kg in my 20s, I thought I understood my body pretty well.
Then my 40s happened.
At 40, I was diagnosed with adenomyosis, and my body started changing in ways I wasn’t prepared for. I gained 12 kg, felt puffier, more bloated, and for the first time in years, what had worked for me earlier simply wasn’t working anymore.
And that taught me something important.
Your body at 40 is not the same body you had at 25.
Hormonal changes, sleep, stress, inflammation, muscle mass and your changing lifestyle can all influence how you feel and how you manage your weight. Sometimes, the answer isn’t to eat less or push yourself harder. It’s to understand what your body needs in this phase of life.
Today, at 42, I’ve lost those 12 kg and feel stronger, healthier and more in tune with my body.
I’m going to share everything this journey taught me about weight, food, hormones and health after 40, with practical advice you can actually use.
If you’re a woman in your 40s...
