When champion racehorse Shergar was kidnapped in 1983 from a stud farm in Ireland, the crime was believed to be an Irish Republican Army plot amid the Troubles. But what would the IRA want with a horse? “Shergar wasn't any horse. He was the most expensive horse in the world,” says filmmaker Alison Millar, who documented the great unsolved mystery. “The bank robberies weren't paying off.
