A new comedy series written by and starring Sharon Horgan puts the spotlight on 50-something women. ‘Youth’ explores careers, relationships, and parenting for the so-called ‘sandwich generation’, who balance caring for both children and elderly parents. Horgan, who is the writer behind other hit shows such as Pulling, Catastrophe and Motherland, says her character Alex also explores women’s complex relationship with aging.
