A voice-first AI tutor for teens just raised $5 million to take on ChatGPT-style learning. Aristotle, an AI tutoring platform for students aged 13 to 18, has raised $5 million in seed funding to expand across the U.S. But instead of simply handing students answers, Aristotle uses Socratic questioning to make them actually think through problems. It works more like a live tutoring session, with voice conversations, an interactive whiteboard, and memory that helps it adapt to what each student struggles with over time. The company was founded by Stanford alumni Shan Reddy, Jaiden Reddy, and Vivek Vajipey. Its closed beta has already seen more than 1,000 students complete over 1,500 hours of tutoring. The round was led by True Ventures, with participation from Wicklow Capital and angel investors connected to Anthropic, OpenAI, Sierra, Ramp, and Cognition.
