On Friday, we were thrilled to hear from one of our newest faculty members, Dr. Kang Xu, a world-renowned scientist and expert in battery technology, and our Ohio Eminent Scholar and Howard D. Winbigler Chair in Engineering at The Ohio State University. Xu gave the first seminar of the autumn semester, speaking to the MAE community about the fundamentals of electrolytes, interfaces, interphases and AI4Materials. He also discussed the world's most accurate AI platform at accelerating the discovery of new battery materials and where the boundaries of AI lie.
