Barack and Michelle Obama shared the heartbreaking news on September 16, remembering Sunny as energetic, loyal, sweet and always ready for an adventure. Sunny joined the Obama family in 2013 during Barack Obama’s second term in the White House, where she quickly became a familiar face alongside her older brother, Bo. From running across the South Lawn to keeping the family on their toes, Sunny brought plenty of personality to the White House years. The Obamas also remembered how much Sunny loved their daughters, Malia and Sasha, and the people who worked around the family.
