About 17 million dollars in call premium landed on two AI chip names at the end of last week, with nothing meaningful on the put side. The twist is the split. Three quarters went into the lower multiple name that has been choppy and sideways for six weeks, not the higher beta chip that is actually breaking out to new highs after a huge one year run. The larger ticket was an already in the money long dated call, which reads as leveraged stock exposure rather than an upside lottery ticket.
