Twenty years after Andy Priaulx won the WTCC in a Team RBM E90 320si, Moton Suspension built the version BMW never did. We visited Moton's factory in the Netherlands to see the E91 3 Series Touring WTCC tribute. In this video, the AST Motor CEO explains why a wagon made more sense than another E90 replica and how the whole car came together in roughly three months. The body is the real E90 WTCC kit remade for a Touring, about two inches wider per side, with the rear fenders bonded into the bodywork instead of glued on. The original WTCC wheels were 17x9 with an 18 offset, so Moton copied the design in 18-inch to clear a set of carbon ceramic brakes on brackets machined in house. The suspension came out of Moton's own archives: the same four-way kit the company built for Team RBM in 2006, down to the stroke and spring rates.
