Sometimes I feel like growing the women’s game comes at a cost… 🫣 Because we ALL want to see the game grow, sometimes I wonder if we dismiss, overlook or stay quiet about things that we’d probably question a lot more in other spaces. And I get it — women’s football has fought for YEARS for more investment, visibility, opportunities and respect, so naturally we want to protect that growth. But surely wanting the game to grow also means wanting it to get BETTER? We should be able to celebrate how far the game has come while still having honest conversations about the things that need improving. Supporting women’s football doesn’t mean we can’t question it.
