This week, FDNY members took to the ice in remembrance of those lost on September 11, 2001, and those who have since died from World Trade Center-related illnesses. The annual EMS 9/11 Memorial Tournament was held over three days at the Dix Hills Ice Rink on Long Island. It brought together 16 teams featuring first responders and veterans from across the country. The Department had three teams competing: FDNY EMS Hockey, EMS Station 8 and FDNY 53 Battalion. All proceeds from the event benefit the EMS FDNY Help Fund, continuing the tradition of supporting our EMS members and their families. Twenty-five years later, we will #NeverForget.
