For this dining room, I wanted to create a space that feels immersive—fully enveloped in pattern and color, designed for entertaining and making an impression while still feeling comfortable and inviting. Inspired by the marbled papers found inside vintage books and elements of 1930s Italian Art Deco, the design reinterprets these classic influences through a fresh, modern lens. The Italian marble and terrazzo flooring, inspired by Villa Necchi, along with the custom banquette, add depth, texture, and character to the space. Although created for a THE MART SHOWHOUSE, I wanted the room to feel livable and grounded—a dining room that could exist in a real home while still offering a sense of creativity and impact.
