Athletic Club dominated in every statistical department but were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by Deportivo Alavés at San Mamés. Ernesto Valverde's side controlled 69% of possession, fired 23 shots to Alavés' 2, and generated an xG of 1.62, but could not break down Quique Sánchez Flores' resolute 5-3-2 low block. The defining moment came when Nico Williams won a penalty, but Antonio Sivera guessed correctly and denied Oihan Sancet from the spot. Sivera delivered a match-winning MVP performance, making six crucial saves to help Alavés escape Bilbao with a hard-fought point🧤 📱 Watch all the action from the LALIGA 2026/27 LIVE only on FanCode 🎥 Full Match highlights available on the FanCode YouTube channel Hit the Bell 🔔 icon to never miss an update.
