Before Friday night’s dbacks vs. Yankees game, #PHXFire joined fire and police departments from across the Valley on the field as part of the D-backs’ 25 Years of Heroes tribute, honoring the first responders who were there for Arizona during the team’s unforgettable 2001 World Series run. For Phoenix Fire Captain Troy Caskey, it was a full-circle moment. Twenty-five years ago, just weeks after 9/11, he stood on that same field holding the American flag as the Yankees came to Arizona for the World Series. 🇺🇸 A special moment then and an honor to stand together again 25 years later. 🚒⚾️
