Most surgeons are trained to operate. Dr. Jason Snibbe knows when not to. As Dr. Snibbe shares with @heartstatewithandrea, he tells patients more often than you might expect that they don't actually need surgery. For him, the decision to operate isn't just about what shows up on a scan. It's about how the patient actually feels. Growing up with two clinical psychologists as parents taught him something that still shapes the way he practices medicine today: the importance of human interaction. While surgery is a huge part of what he does, his favorite part of the job is connecting with his patients, listening to them, and understanding what they're actually experiencing. Because sometimes the best thing a surgeon can do is decide not to operate. 🎙️ Watch the full Getting Open episode for a fascinating conversation with Dr. Jason Snibbe about surgery, patient care, listening to your body, and what really goes into deciding when an operation is necessary. #GettingOpen #DrJasonSnib...
