This morning, LasVegasFD welcomed Ladder Truck 4 to its fleet with a traditional Push-In Ceremony at Fire Station 4! š
Dating back to the 1800s, the tradition began when fire crews had to physically push horse-drawn wagons into the station.
Today,
#LVFR keeps it alive as a symbol of teamwork, history and service. šŖš„
Mayor Shelley Berkley and Mayor Pro Tem Olivia Diaz joined firefighters for the ceremony and helped push the new truck into the station.
Before the push-in, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Chief Fernando Gray asked his firefighters to commit to three things with the $1.6 million truck:
⢠Take care of it
⢠Train on it
⢠Take pride in it
