The version of me that wants to stay comfortable. The version of me that knows better. The version of me that still has shit to heal. Self-care is not always soft. Sometimes it’s sitting with every version of yourself and deciding that none of them get abandoned. I don’t have to destroy one version of me to become another. I get to meet her. Understand her.
