Meta and the UAE Cyber Security Council have launched Wearables Studio UAE, a national initiative dedicated to building AI-powered wearable devices and software applications. The program gives local developers direct access to Meta’s hardware platforms and edge-AI software kits. The technical curriculum focuses on embedding privacy and cybersecurity controls directly into device hardware, computer vision sensors, and real-time audio processing models from the initial design phase. This partnership bridges consumer tech innovation with strict national cyber defense standards, preparing the regional ecosystem for the next generation of AI-enabled hardware.
