In his first ever #NHL exhibition game, 18-year-old Alberts Smits put together an impressive outing. Smits played just over 15 minutes in the game and had a primary assist. With Urho Vaakanainen being waived plus Matthew Robertson and Scott Morrow primarily taking reps on the fourth defensive pairing, the fifth overall pick in this year’s #NHLDraft could slide in next to Braden Schneider on the third defensive pairing. 📸: finishfirstphotos #NYR #AlbertsSmits
