Introducing the Nissan Z Kaze, a new concept which was revealed today at ZCon, the annual Z enthusiast gathering held in Phoenix, Arizona. The Kaze moniker, which means “wind” in Japanese, hints at the defining detail of the concept car: its custom-engineered T-top roof.
Nissan says a team of product planners and designers were inspired by a vision of an “exhilarating drive along California’s Pacific Coast Highway on a perfect summer day.” That view of the Pacific Ocean directly influenced the Pacific Teal paint scheme found on the concept car, while carbon fiber hood, fender flares, and a custom carbon fiber body kit drive the Nineties tuner vibe home. Other notable additions include authentic, restored 18-inch Nismo LMGT2 wheels, measuring 10 inches wide up front and 11 inches in the back.
